PURPOSE: To provide a KARAOKE controller to realize inexpensively shift to a musical sound synthesizing type KARAOKE device while utilizing effective ly an existing musical sound reproducing type KARAOKE device.

CONSTITUTION: A musical sound reproduction control means 21 which controls the musical sound reproducing type KARAOKE device, a musical sound synthesis control means 22 which controls the musical sound synthesizing type KARAOKE device to utilze KARAOKE information from a host station through a communications line after storing it in a storage device, and a control selecting means 21 which sequences the control by the musical sound reproduction control means as first order, information read-out control from the storage device by the musical sound synthesis control means as second order, and information fetch control from the host station by the musical sound synthesis control means as third order when music designation input is received are provided.
