PURPOSE: To reduced the power consumption by providing a mechanical key information detecting means and an electrical key information detecting means, and providing a control means exciting an electrical unlocking means with the abnormal key information from the electrical key information detecting means.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of unlocking by a normal key 5, the coupling system of a mechanical key information detecting means detects correct shapes of key ridges 5a, 5b, and a detector 14 detects the electrical key information generated by a key signal generating means 11. A control circuit 15 collates the registered key information and the detected key information, a key barrel 3 is rotated by the angle α in the arrow A direction if they coincide, a switch 12 is turned on, and no power is fed to a solenoid 13. The key barrel 3 is rotated to the angle γ over the angle β, and a lock system 4 is unlocked. When illegal unlocking is attempted, the detector 14 detects no correct signal, and the circuit 15 operates the solenoid 13 on condition that the switch 12 is turned on. A lock member intrudes into a groove section 3b.
