Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a key distribution method and system for encryption communication that eliminates the need for carrying out processing to share setting information and a key for the encryption communication between a communication source terminal and a communication destination terminal with the communication destination terminal, permits the communication source terminal and the communication destination terminal to surely carry out the encryption communication, and relieves the processing load without the need for direct authentication of a communication opposite party.
SOLUTION: A management server 10 and a verification server 20 are installed in the system. Terminals 30, 40 register setting information usable for the encryption communication to the management server 10. In the case of carrying out the encryption communication, the management server 10 searches setting information coincident with the registered information, generates a key for the encryption communication usable by the terminals 30, 40, and distributes the key together with the coincident setting information to the terminals 30, 40. Further, the management server 10 authenticates the terminals 30, 40 in cooperation with the verification server 20. It is not required for the terminals 30, 40 to respectively authenticate the other communication opposite party in such a way that the terminal 30 trusts and relies on the result of authenticating the terminal 40 by the management server 10 and the terminal 40 trusts and relies on the result of authenticating the terminal 30 by the management server 10.
