To record an image of a person who puts in/out a key and information specifying the key being put in/out.

A key management device has a body to and from which a key 30 is attachable and detachable. The body has an opening/closing door. A door detection circuit 66 detects whether the door is placed in an openable state or not. A camera 17 photographs and records an image in front of the body. A proximity switch 40 switches the ON/OFF state of the key 30 in response to the attaching/detaching of the key 30. A key detection circuit 62 recognizes the ON/OFF state of the key 30 in response to the switching of a key switch 40. When the door is placed in the openable state, the key detection circuit 62 outputs the data of the key 30 and an imaging device records the photographed image.
