Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of input job, by displaying Kana (Japanese syllabary) characters designated with a Kana/alphanumeric selection signal to a Kana character input area or an alphanumeric input area of a display device automatically by key operation.

CONSTITUTION: When a cursor 18 moves to an alphanumeric input area 17, an alphanumeric designating signal to input alphanumeric is generated from a field control memory 13 and it is inputted to an encoder 8 via a field control section 12 and an auto/manual selection circuit 19. As a result, in the encoder 8, a position signal inputted from a keyboard 2 selects data in alphanumeric corresponding to the area 17 indicated with the cursor 18 and it is stored in a buffer memory 11 and the alphanumeric of the depressed key is displayed in the area 17 indicated with the cursor 18 of the display device 3.
