Title:
KEYBOARD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5779543
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To vary an array of characters freely at a user side by storing the character code of a character sheet on the character sheet by using a magnetic stripe and by reading it through the scanning of a magnetic sensor.

CONSTITUTION: On the surface of a character sheet arranged on a keyboard, a character is displayed, and a means of storing its character code is provided to the character sheet. As the storage means, a magnetic stripe is preferably provided on the reverse surface of the character sheet. For example, KANJI (CHinese character) is written on the top surface of a character sheet 7, and a character code which corresponds to the KANJI is stored magnetically on a magnetic stripe provided on its reverse surface. The character sheet 7 is arranged on a KANJI table 10 and read by a magnetic sensor 11 provided with a magnetic head stop. The data is transferred to a display part 12 and processed by a KANJI pattern converting circuit 13 to be displayed in the form of a character pattern on a CRT not shown on the drawing.
