PURPOSE: To secure a placing space of things when necessary and obtain a usable kitchen device by providing a placing plate of which the upper edge is supportt-ed to turn upward the lower edge at the opening of a cabinet and which is stably supported by a supporter to be horizontal.

CONSTITUTION: When water is heated to boil by a kettle, after a pan is placed on a heater 8 to cook foods, a placing plate 10 is raised and fixed to be horizontal by holding the fitting metal 18 of the placing plate 10 from a state B to a state A. In this way, a boiled pan can be placed on the placing plate 10 and water can be boiled on the heater 8. In this time, when a pan sheat is used, the surface of a placing plate cover 16 is neither stained nor scored. And, as the pan placed on the cover 16 is protected by the edges 19 made higher by one stage, the pan is prevented from dropping and kept safe. Since the placing plate 10 is used for a door also to close the front opening of the cabinet 6, it is cheaper compared with a proper placing plate different from it.
