Abstract:
To provide a kitchen knife that improves handling of the kitchen knife by reducing total weight of the handle of the kitchen knife, that enhances an original aesthetic appearance of a bamboo material to make the bamboo material more attractive in an eating culture, that makes a user conscious of correction of a gripping position even when an unexpected deviation of the gripping position occurs during push-cutting or pull-cutting, and that suppresses a grip from falling off from a handle end of the handle during pull-cutting.SOLUTION: A pair of handle composing pieces 120, 120, left and right, and a dowel member 130 are made of a bamboo material. The handle composing pieces, 120, 120 are fitted together such that a skin side of the bamboo material is exposed to each of left and right sides of the handle. A flat joining surface 121 having a same shape as a core 112 has a bottomed dowel hole 122 opposite to a through-hole 112a of the core 112. A grip slip-off preventing portion 123 composed of a knot projecting on a skin side of the bamboo material is provided at a handle end 125 of each of the handle composing pieces 120, 120.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
