Abstract:
To provide a klystron that levels a gain band and is stably operated.SOLUTION: A klystron 10 comprises: an electron gun part 12; an interaction part 15; and a corrector 19. The electron gun part 12 discharges an electron 11. The interaction part 15 includes a plurality of resonance cavity 16 containing an input cavity 16a, a second cavity 16b, a third cavity 16c, and an output cavity 16e which are positioned along an advancing direction of the electron 11 from the electron gun part 12 in sequence. The input cavity 16a and the third cavity 16c are detuned in a resonance frequency higher than an operation frequency of a microwave input into the input cavity 16a, and the second cavity 16b is detuned in a resonance frequency lower than the operation frequency, and a gain in accordance with the frequency of the microwave in the output cavity 16e becomes the maximum in the operation frequency. The corrector 19 captures an electron passing through the interaction part 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
