Abstract:
To provide a klystron applicable to diameter reduction and a higher magnetic field.SOLUTION: A klystron 10 comprises an electron gun 20, a plurality of resonant cavities 24, a collector 22, and a focusing magnetic field device 12. The focusing magnetic field device 12 has: an output-side coil 32 arranged in a periphery on the collector 22 side; and an output-side yoke 35 making contact with a collector-side pole piece 28 and a main yoke 33, and arranged in a periphery of the output-side coil 32. The output-side yoke 35 comprises: an inner peripheral part 36 making contact with the collector-side pole piece 28 and arranged on an inner peripheral side of the output-side coil 32; an end face part 37 provided in an outer diameter direction from a tip side of the inner peripheral part 36 and arranged on an end face side of the output-side coil 32; and an outer peripheral part 38 provided from the end face part 37 toward the main yoke 33 and arranged on an outer peripheral side of the output-side coil 32 while making contact with the main yoke 33. On an inner surface side facing the output-side coil 32 between the inner peripheral part 36 and the end face part 37, there is provided an enlarged cross-section part 39 which is enlarged toward the inner surface side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
