PURPOSE: To provide a knitting and braiding machine designed so as to stably keep an oil membrane on each sliding surface of the slider and the guide rail and not requiring oil supply for a long period.

CONSTITUTION: This invention is related to a knitting and braiding machine equipped with a turn table having a lower bobbin and with a slider 5 incapable of coming off from a guide rail 4 set along the periphery of the turn table and having an upper bobbin (B2) engaged therewith so as to move through plural sliding surfaces in the opposite direction. In this knitting and braiding machine, the slider 5 is equipped with a lubricant supply tank 54 and with an applicator unit capable of applying a lubricant (J) allowed to seep from the lubricant supply tank to the sliding surface. Thereby, the lubricant is supplied directly to a desired sliding surface to keep an oil membrane even if the machine is at work.
