PURPOSE: To obtain a large stretchable knitted fabric in a gap part according to hand knitting by shifting loops, wound and hooked on plural knitting needles having holding yarn connected to the base end thereof to the holding yarn and connecting the formed knitted fabric elements by slip seams using crochet needles.

CONSTITUTION: One end of knitting yarn 4 is fastened to one of knitting needles (1a), (1b)... in which holding yarn 3 is passed through and held in a though-hole on the side of the base end, wound and hooked while forming loop stitches over the plural knitting needles (1a), (1b)... to prepare knitted unit elements (A), which are then transferred onto the holding yarn. When a prescribed number of knitted unit elements are prepared, the elements are mutually connected by slip seams using crochet needles.
