Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide kraft packaging paper meeting the standards corresponding to JIS P-3401, having processability as packaging paper and affording good printability.
SOLUTION: The kraft packaging paper meets the standards corresponding to the quality standards for three kinds of kraft paper specified by JIS P-3401. The kraft packaging paper is produced by papermaking of a complete stock that is obtained by adding, based on 0.5-5.0 kg/t pulp, AKD as internal addition sizing agent to a pulp feedstock comprising 20-50 wt.% kraft pulp, waste paper pulp and mechanical pulp. Further, the kraft packaging paper has been externally added with oxidized starch and/or polyacrylamide by roll transfer system and has also been subjected to flattening treatment by calenders having at least one nip. The kraft packaging paper is 0.1-0.25 in Cobb sizing degree/basis weight.
