Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely detect OFF-fail in each shift signals in a manual shift mode and to secure stable traveling during the failure.
CONSTITUTION: A speed change controller for manually speed changeable automatic transmission is provided with a manual speed change mode determining means 1 determining the fact that a manual speed change mode is selected, a forced speed change detecting means 2 detecting the fact that a downshift and an upshift are continued without depending on a signal based on the manual operation in the manual speed change mode, and a failure determining means 3 determining the generation of failure, in which the signal based on the manual operation is not outputted, on the basis of the fact that the frequency of the downshift and the upshift detected by the forced speed change detecting means 2 exceeds the predetermined frequency.
