The label data generation device is so configured that it is judged whether one side of a rectangular object area 106 set around object data and one side of a rectangular print area 103 or not (S14, S16, S18, and S20) when moving the object data by object dragging and object cursor moving and the judgement result is displayed in color on one side of the print area 103 by a solid line 107 in response to judge coincidence between one side of the object area 106 and one side of the rectangular print area 103 (S14:YES, S16:YES, S18:YES, and S20:YES).
