Abstract:
To provide a label issuing device and a label reading device that can reduce a decrease in the reading accuracy of a barcode by reading means even when both a barcode and a digital watermark are printed on one product label.SOLUTION: A label issuing device includes a storage unit that stores a plurality of pieces of product information related to products, a print control unit in which a barcode in which at least one product information stored in the storage unit is encoded, and a digital watermark with at least one product information embedded in the product information encoded as a barcode are placed on one product label, and that generates print data that defines that the barcode and the digital watermark are placed at different positions on the one product label, and a label issuing unit that issues the product label in which the barcode and the digital watermark are displayed at different positions by printing information based on the print data on the label.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
