To more surely suppress occurrence of a nitrogen absorption reaction in ladle refining accompanied by electric heating.SOLUTION: There is provided a ladle refining method of a molten steel in which two or three electrodes are immersed in a slag layer and a plurality of plugs for gas blowing are arranged on a bottom part of a ladle, when a ladle inner diameter on the molten steel surface is represented by Ds and a diameter of a circumscribed circle of an electrode that is circumscribed with the two or three electrodes on the molten steel surface and whose a diameter is the minimum is represented by D, D/D is a value in a predetermined range, the center of the plurality of plugs for gas blowing is positioned outside the electrode circumcircle, when a center of the electrode circumcircle is represented by point O, a center of the first plug for gas blowing is represented by point A and a ladle center of the second plug for gas blowing is represented by point B, an angle θ formed between a straight line OA and a straight line OB is 90 degrees or more and 180 degrees or less, when a radius of the ladle bottom surface is represented by R, a distance between the center of the plurality of plugs for gas blowing and the inner wall surface of the ladle is 0.1 R or more, and a flow rate of the gas of the first plug for gas blowing and a flow rate of the gas of the second plug for gas blowing satisfy predetermined conditions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
