Title:
LADLING DEVICE FOR MOLTEN METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5832570
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To ladle the residual molten metal in a holding furnace easily by forming a ladling pipe to a V shape, communicating and connecting a suction pump to the top part thereof via a suction fitting formed with a through-hole and providing a cover body to the discharge port of the ladling pipe.

CONSTITUTION: A ladling pipe 1 is formed to a V shape, and a suction pump 9 is communicated abd connected to the top part 1a thereof via a suction fitting 1 formed with a through-hole 8. A cover body 10 is provided to the discharge port 5 of the pipe 1. When the port 2 of the pipe 1 is submerged in a holding furnace 4 and the pump 9 is operated, the residual molten metal 3 in the furnace is sucked up. The residual molten metal 3 flows over the part 1a of the pipe 1 into the port 5, thus filling the inside of the pipe 1 closed by the cover body 10. The residual molten metal 3 enters the hole 8 of the fitting 7 as well, thereby closing said hole. Here when the body 10 is detached, the residual molten metal 3' filled in the pipe 1 acts as priming water and the residual molten metal 3 in the furnace 4 is ladled continuously.
