The laminate comprises a layer made of a water soluble polyvinyl alcohol polymer containing 3 to 19 mol.% of α-olefin unit having 4 or less carbons and a layer made of polyolefin, polyester or polyamide. The polymer means dissolving the polymer in water or in an aqueous solution containing about 50wt.% or less of lower aliphatic alcohol. As the type of an α-olefin ethylene or propylene is used. Thus, oxygen gas barrier properties can be improved, and a harmful hydrochloride gas is not generated at the time of incinerating.
