PURPOSE: To provide a laminate of improved flame retardancy, tracking resistance, punching processability, etc., for use in printed circuit base, constituted by resin-impregnated papers prepared by primary impregnation of base paper with specific resin consisting of cocondensate such as melamine resin followed by secondary impregnation with another resin.
CONSTITUTION: The objective laminate can be obtained by impregnating a paper base (e.g., kraft paper) with (A) a resin of a solvent admixture degree 50W1,000% prepared by cocondensation between A1: 1mol of melamine, A2: 1.5W5moles of an aldehyde compound (e.g., formaldehyde), A3: 0.05W0.5mol of a glycoside of formula I or II (R1 and R2 are each alkyl) and A4: a phenolic compound, followed by impregnation with (B) a second resin (e.g., phenolic resin).
