Relating to the laminated battery 10, an electrode 13 with electrode lead tabs 11 and 12 at one end is inserted in a cup-like molding 14 made from a laminate material, and on both sides, side seals 15a and 15b are formed by heat seal, to be bent along the cup-like molding 14 side. Relating to both side seals 15a and 15b, if the whole length of the side seals 15a and 15b is assumed to be L, the thickness of a region A of length 0.03-0.5 L is 75-94% of the thickness of the other portion. The region A is formed at such position as satisfies the condition of D1/D2<1.0, where D1 is a distance from a position corresponding to the bottom of the cup-like molding 14 to the lower end of the region A, and D2 is a distance from the upper end of the region A to the position corresponding to the upper end of the side seal 15.
