Title:
LAMINATED CERAMIC ACTUATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04111483
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To divide a multilayer laminate with blocks where the numbers of layers are few so as to suppress the occurrence of the cracks resulted from the stress at polarization or driving by leading out an inner electrode continuously in the same direction at one part of the laminate, and providing an undisplaced layer. CONSTITUTION:A section for putting the lead-out direction of inner electrodes 2 continuously in the same direction is provided in the position which nearly halves a desired number of laminations. Since an electric field is not applied to the ceramic layer 1 caught by the inner electrodes 2 led out in the same direction, it becomes an undisplaced layer 5. The actuator is halved by the undisplaced layer 5, and the regions, where internal stress occurs, also are divided in the number of laminations where cracks do not occur. By this constitution, it becomes such constitution that the multilayer laminate is divided within the range of the number of laminations where cracks do not occur, and the occurrence of cracks resulting from the stress at polarization or driving can be prevented, and the reliability can be improved.
