To raise the electrical connectability between an external electrode and internal electrodes by a method wherein one part of metallic powder being contained in a conductive paste is constituted of metallic power having a mean particle diameter specified times shorter than the thickness of the internal conductor layers.
A laminated ceramic capacitor 1 is provided with a ceramic base 2. The base 2 is provided with a plurality of ceramic layers 3, and internal electrodes 4 used as internal conductor layers are formed between the layers 3 into a laminated form. An external electrode 5 used as an external conductor is formed on the surface of this base 2. Here, the electrode 5 is formed by a method, wherein a conductive paste containing metallic powder, glass powder and an organic vehicle is applied on a prescribed region on the base 2 subsequent to a firing and is baked. Metallic powder 6 having a mean particle diameter two times shorter than the thickness (t) of the electrodes 4 is made to contain in the conductive paste, which is used for the formation of this electrode 5. Moreover, the thickness (t) of the electrodes 4 is formed in a thickness of 3 μm or thinner.
