To provide a laminated gas barrier film having both of excellent heat resistance and gas barrier properties, and a substrate and an image display element both of which have excellent detailedness and durability.
The laminated gas barrier film has at least two resin layers and is characterized in that the glass transition temperature of resins is 100-400°C, at least one of the resin layers contains an inorganic laminar compound and at least either one of an organic-inorganic hybrid layer obtained by a sol-gel method and a layer comprising a vinyl type polymer is provided between the resin layers. The substrate comprises the gas barrier film and the image display element such as an organic EL element, a liquid crystal display element or the like having the gas barrier film is also disclosed.
