Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain the polarizing sheet having excellent moisture permeability, wear resistance and surface strength by providing polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) polymer layers via adhesive agent layers between the polarizing blank film and crosslinkable resin cured matter layers. CONSTITUTION:The adhesive agent layers 2, 2 are provided on both surfaces of the polarizing blank film 1 and the PVA polymer layers 3, 3 and the crosslinkable resin cured matter layers 4, 4 are laminated thereon. Since this PVA polymer layer 3 consists of a resin contg. a hydroxyl group, the layer reacts also with the crosslinking agent at the time of forming of the crosslinkable resin cured matter 4 and the secure adhesion is attained even if an anchor layer is not provided between these layers. While the brittleness of the crosslinkable resin cured matter layer 4 is covered by the PVA polymer layer 3, the moisture permeability of the PVA polymer layer 3 is covered by the crosslinkable resin cured matter layer 4. The advantages of both of these layers are thus effectively utilized.
