PURPOSE: To repel living pest insects by mixing a repellent into an adhesive agent of the laminated veneer lumbers which are stacked in a state that the fiber directions thereof are in parallel with each other.
CONSTITUTION: A veneer of desired thickness is manufactured from the log or flitch by a cutting device such as a rotary lace or slicer. The veneer is coated with an adhesive agent in which the repellent is mixed, by using a coating device such as a spreader, a spray and a flow coater. The microcapsule type repellent including the liquid, powder or granular repellent, is preferably used as the repellent. A plurality of sheets of veneers coated with the adhesive agent are stacked in a state that the fiber directions thereof are in parallel with each other. As the repellent, a triamide repellent can be preferably used, and the repellent in the adhesive agent is gradually emanated to the outside, so that the effect thereof can be kept for a long period.
