Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lamp drive unit capable of reducing loss of a switching of a semiconductor element during a period in which inrush current flows into a lamp for a vehicle.SOLUTION: A PWM signal output unit 4 makes an AND gate 9 side of an output logic unit 8 function so that when the lighting of a lamp 2 starts after a clock time of an OFF time monitoring timer 6 exceeds an OFF monitoring time, the ratio of a period in which power is applied to the lamp 2 is higher than a normal control period in a specified period from the start point, and sets duty ratio of an PWM signal to 100%.
