Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide construction which continues stable blowing of powder and prevents the collision of the powder against the inside wall of a tuyere by using a lance for blowing powder raw material having the aperture surface at the top end thereof of which the angle is within a ±30° range with the axial center line of the tuyere.

CONSTITUTION: The lance 4 for blowing the powder raw material projects diagonally toward the central part of the tuyere 6 by passing through the wall of a hot wind blowing pipe 7 successively provided with the blast furnace tuyere 6. The angle θt of the aperture surface at the top end of the lance 4 is made within a 0°±30° range with the axial center line of the tuyere. Then the blowing powder raw material 11 supplied from the lance 4 is carried toward the tuyerer 6 by the hot wind from the pipe 7 and is prevented from colliding against the inside wall of the tuyere 6.
