A box part 5 as one component of a display unit 4 is fixed to an opening 3 formed on a landing wall 2 of the landing 1 of each floor formed on a hoistway of a building, on an arbitrary position in a state that its opening face 5a is faced to the landing 1 direction. A surface board 6 comprising a display part 6a including a notch part 6b which can display the operating condition of a car, and an engagement part 6c cut to form the small difference in level to the display part 6a, is fixed to the box part 5 in a state that its upper and lower parts are fixed by the decorative screws 8. A display 19 on which an electric wire 9 is integrally mounted is attached to the surface board 6 by an arbitrary method, and this electric wire 9 is connected to an electric wire 11 distributed on the box part 5 to transmit a signal to the display 10.
