Abstract:
To provide a traffic lane maintenance control method and a traffic lane maintenance control device, which can reduce an occupant's sense of discomfort about the behavior of a driver's own vehicle.SOLUTION: An object vehicle 200 traveling in adjacent traffic lanes L1 and L3 adjacent to a traffic lane L2 for a driver's own vehicle is detected, while traffic lane maintenance control for controlling the driver's own vehicle 100 so that it can travel in the traffic lane L2 for the driver's own vehicle is performed. A sense of discomfort of an occupant of the driver's own vehicle 100 is detected when the driver's own vehicle 100 overtakes the object vehicle 200.
