Title:
LARGE-SIZED EL LAMP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08185974
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a large-sized EL lamp suitably used for signboards.

CONSTITUTION: This lamp is formed of a plurality of EL lamps 1 having a light emitting layer between a back plate and a transparent electrode and covered with a moisture-proof film; and a case 2 having a porous member 3 formed of an opaque material on one surface. The EL lamps are housed in the case so that the end parts are mutually superposed and the transparent electrode surfaces are positioned on the porous member side of the case. Since the superposed line 4 of the EL lamps can be made easy to see by the porous member 3 of the housing case 2, by use of EL lamps of a generally formed size, any number of pieces can be integrated by a simple operation for mutually superposing these end parts, and a required light emitting surface of large area can be easily constituted.
