PURPOSE: To simplify the molding, improve the impact properties and durability, facilitate the assembling and embody the recycling by a method wherein a septic tank is a crosslinked polymer molded article made of cyclic olefin consisting of an upper tank part, a middle tank part and a lower tank part, at the joining parts of which flanges are provided so as to be assembled together with fastenings and adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: Crosslinked polymer molded article, which is produced by mixing monomer solution A and monomer solution B containing the catalyst component and activator component in metathetical polymerization catalyst system and, after being poured in a mold, polymerization-reacting and crosslinking-reacting the resultant mixture, is employed. Out of articles produced as just mentioned above, a large-sized septic tank consisting of an upper tank part 1, a lower tank part 2 and, when necessary, a middle tank part, is made. Respective tank parts have structures to be joined together through flanges 3 and 3'. In addition, the respective tank parts are fixed together and assembled by means of fastenings such s bolts 5, nuts 6 and polyurethane adhesive 7.
