Abstract:
To impose a security marking on a substrate (43), preferably as a film and especially a transfer film, a controlled laser beam (30) is directed at the replicating surface of a replication roller (41) to form at least one shaping zone (70a,70b), to apply its shape (45) to the film substrate by pressure against a counter roller (42) with a rubber surface. An additional controlled laser beam heats the replicating surface in at least one zone to form a heat combination zone to give the shaped zone in the surface directly and/or indirectly.
