PURPOSE: To provide the laser beam machine which prevents evaporation material generated from a workpiece from sticking to a protective member to protect a condenser lens.

CONSTITUTION: In the laser beam machine where a holder 13 having the opened tip inside which a condenser lens 26 is held is provided, a gap is provided between the tip surface of this holder 13 and the workpiece 15 and while these are moved relatively, a laser beam L introduced into the holder 13 is converged by the condenser lens 26 to irradiate the workpiece 15 with this laser beam, the translucent protective member 22 to prevent the evaporation material from the workpiece 15 from sticking to this condenser lens 26 is provided on the bottom side of the condenser lens 26 in the holder 13, a communicating hole 29 and a communicating groove 31 to communicate the bottom side of the protective member 22 with the outside of the holder 13 are formed on the holder 13 and a suction pump 34 is connected to the bottom side part of the protective member 22 of a peripheral wall of the holder 13.
