Title:
LASER BEAM SCANNING OPTICAL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02311813
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to adjust a shift in irradiation position perpendicular to the scanning direction of a laser beam by arranging a cylindrical lens almost at a distance of the focal distance of the cylindrical lens from SOS sensor. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical lens 13 is arranged on the optical path between a photodetection(SOS) sensor 12 and a deflection surface almost at the distance of the focal distance of the cylindrical lens 13 from the SOS sensor 12 so that its generating line is parallel to the scanning direction. Therefore, even if the laser beam shifts perpendicularly to the scanning direction, the laser beam is refracted through the cylindrical lens 13 toward the optical axis side so as to irradiate the SOS sensor surface, so that the laser beam is securely detected by the SOS sensor 12. Consequently, the laser beam scanning optical device is obtained which eliminates the need to correct an irradiation shift perpendicular to the scanning direction.
