Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a laser beam switchover device capable of preventing erroneous laser beam transmission during the movement of a movable optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:A control part controls laser oscillation of a laser device 1, and selects a processing machine for transmitting laser beam. A control unit 9 which receives signals from the control part controls the excitation of electromagnets of optical fiber drive relays UT1,.... The optical fiber drive units UT1... switch over optical fibers 2, 5A, and 5B on movable side by exciting and non-exciting of the electromagnet to connect them to optical fibers 6A1... on stationary side. Operating position detecting parts 71... detect a switchover position by switching over movable contacts C1... in reference with fixed contacts DA1..., DB1... and control opening and closing of shutters S4 to S1 provided between each optical fiber on outgoing side 6A1... and the processing machine according to the detected signals.
