PURPOSE: To improve productivity and to surely weld a corrugated sheet to a sheet metal by forming the peripheral surface of a feed roller into the singular shape in accordance with a shape of the corrugated sheet and providing both of a positioning function and a feed function to the feed roller.
CONSTITUTION: In laser beam welding and joining of the corrugated sheet 3 and the sheet metal 21, the peripheral 2 of the feed roller 1 is formed into the shape provided with the plural recessed curved surfaces 4 and the plural projecting curved surfaces 5 so as to conform to the shape of the corrugated sheet 3. A central opening 6 along an axial center line is formed on the axial center of the feed roller 1 and plural through holes 7 for laser beam irradiation to penetrate between the central opening 6 and the top at each projecting curved surface 5 are formed. At the time of laser beam welding at the welding position β, the corrugated sheet 3 is positioned by the feed roller 1 and the corrugated sheet 3 and the sheet metal 21 are surely welded together. Since the peripheral surface shape of the feed roller 1 conforms to the shape of the corrugated sheet 3, the feed roller 1 is provided with the positioning function and the feed function.
