Abstract:

To provide a glass for laser, which has a high refractive index and is excellent in emission property and machine characteristic.

The glass for laser contains, indicated by mol% on the following oxide basis, P2O5of 50-65%, Al2O3of 5-20%, B2O3of 1-10%, Li2O of 0-10%, Na2O of 0-10%, K2O of 5-20%, MgO of 0-10%, CaO of 0-10%, SrO of 0-10%, Nb2O5of 2-15%, Yb2O3of 0.1-10%, and La2O3of 0-10%.
