Abstract:
PURPOSE:To suppress extension of the beam diameter in a laser light scanner which is provided with a semiconductor laser oscillator as the light source and generates a laser scanning line from the semiconductor laser oscillator. CONSTITUTION:A single wavelength laser beam p0 is scanned by a laser scanning means 20 and is condensed on a scan face 40 by an element 30 dependent upon wavelength. A diffracting element 21 disperses and diffracts the laser beam p1 by wavelengths and is provided in the optical path of the laser scanning means 20 to preliminarily cancel the wavelength dispersion due to the element 30. If plural wavelength components are included in the laser beam p1 in the multi-mode contention state of the semiconductor laser, laser beams r1 and q1 diffracted in the diffracting element 21 by wavelengths reach the element 30 at different incidence points (r) and (q). Therefore, laser beams r2 and q2 focused on the scan face 40 form a laser scanning line 41 where extension of the beam diameter is suppressed.
