PURPOSE: To provide a laser marking method wherein adjusting of irradiated laser beams is easy and imparting of a mark can be performed simply.
CONSTITUTION: This is related to a laser marking method imparting a mark to the marking object 1 by allowing the method to focus laser beams L to the marking object 1 to which the mark is to impart. This method is applied to plastic optical parts wherein the surface of the lens base 3 is surface-treated by a polysiloxane rigid coating film 4 and/or a reflection preventive film 5. The vicinity P of the surface of the plastic optical parts 1 is destroyed (melting, a change in properties) and operated as a mark by allowing the method to focus the laser beams L to the vicinity P of the surface of the plastic optical parts L.
