To provide a laser oscillation element capable of largely displacing the outgoing direction of beams generated by a laser oscillation to the screw-axis azimuth of a cholesteric liquid crystal.
The laser oscillation element 1 has a cholesteric liquid-crystal layer 2 containing the cholesteric liquid crystal, the cholesteric liquid-crystal layer 3 oppositely arranged to the layer 2 and a fault layer 4 being formed between the layer 2 and the layer 3 and containing a pigment emitting a fluorescence by an optical excitation. A selective reflected wavelength band in the cholesteric liquid crystal and the light-emitting band of the fluorescence emitted from the pigment are superposed in the wavelength range of at least a part. The cholesteric liquid-crystal layer 2 and the cholesteric liquid-crystal layer 3 are not parallel mutually.
