Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide respective dots at even pitches on an image holding body without using a special lens by serving a transfer clock for image data to be sent to a light source as a controlling part provided with regular characteristics based on the rotational angle of a rotating polygonal mirror. CONSTITUTION:A rotating polygonal mirror is always rotated at a constant speed, and a sensor 4 detects scanning starting positions in respective mirror surfaces. A signal outputted by a sensor 4 is inputted into a controlling part as a starting signal of scanning of a line on an image holding body surface 1, and a sampling clock (2) is counted using a signal (1) from the sensor 4 as a trigger. The count number is served as an address signal (3) to read out the lighting timing of a light source from memory by which time data calculated from rotational angle data of the rotating polygonal mirror 3 is memorized. The timing data are inputted into a parallel/serial conversion as a transfer clock (4), with which the image data is read out, and its signal is inputted into the light source as a lighting signal (5) of the light source.
