Abstract:

To provide a laser thermal transfer recording method for controlling the variation of sensitivity of an image forming material formed of an ink sheet and an image receiving sheet and preventing the generation of image defects even under the environment of high humidity or low humidity and manufacture a wrapping material for an ink sheet and an image receiving sheet used for the method.

In a laser thermal transfer recording method for emitting laser beams in compliance with image information, absorbing the laser beams by an ink sheet and converting the same into heat and transferring and forming an image on an image receiving sheet by the converted heat, the permeability of a wrapping material is 200 kg.cm/m2. 24 hrs. or less under the conditions of 25°C temperature and 90% relative humidity, and the film thickness of the wrapping material is 50-200 μm. As a preferable embodiment, the oxygen permeation degree of the wrapping material is 10 cm3.0.1 m/m2.24 hrs.atm or less under the condition of 23°C temperature and the surface ratio resistance of the wrapping material is 2×109 Ω/cm2 or less under the conditions of 23°C temperature and 23% relative humidity.
