Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch pin assembly for making an effective resolution for its cost.SOLUTION: A rocker arm 30 engaged with a cam of a valve driving structure includes a latch pin assembly 40 including a latch pin 80, a retainer 120 and a biasing mechanism 130. This latch pin includes a head and a pin main body 82 having a rear portion 88 of a second end part. The pin main body forms an opening volume part 90, the rear portion has an opening communicated with the opening volume part of the pin main body, and the opening volume part has a non-circular section 124. The retainer has a male engaging part 122 and an outer part 132. The male engaging part is arranged in the opening volume part through an opening. The male engaging part has a non-circular section. The outer portion is connected to an outer arm 42 of the rocker arm in such a way that it cannot be removed from the arm. The biasing mechanism is arranged within the opening volume part of the pin main body and acts between the latch pin and the retainer against them.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
