A female side fitting part 15 exists in a position higher than a decorative surface 13, and is continuously connected to the decorative surface 13 by an inclined face being an abtuse angle to the decorative surface 13. When fitting the eaves ridge, a male side fitting part 16 of an upper stage roof material and the decorative surface 13 become the same plane as an inclined face of a lower stage roof material, and the roof materials are mutually superposed in a gable end directional end part. Next, a laterally laid roof material in which a leveling plate part 14 existing under a superposing place of the mutual roof materials is higher than the decorative surface 13 and the leveling plate part 14 and the decorative surface 13 are continuously connected by being pushed upward at an obtuse angle, is formed. Next, the roof materials are laid while fitting the roof materials in the longitudinal direction by providing a sealing material such as soft foaming rubber on an upper surface of the leveling plate part 14 by mutually superposing the roof materials in the gable end direction by fixing the roof materials to a backing by a machine screw and a nail. Therefore, watertightness can be improved.
