Abstract:
To suppress deterioration of image quality of layer transfer.SOLUTION: A layer transfer device transports a multilayer film comprising a transfer layer and a support layer for supporting the transfer layer, and a sheet in a laminated manner, and transfers the transfer layer onto a toner image formed on the sheet. The layer transfer device comprises: a peeling roller; a first temperature detecting member capable of detecting a temperature of the peeling roller; and a control part. The peeling roller is a roller for peeling the multilayer film from a heating member (heat roller 61) for heating the multilayer film and the sheet, and the sheet heated by the heating member. The control part executes first cooling down processing for cooling down of the peeling roller when the temperature acquired from the first temperature detecting member is greater than or equal to a first temperature (S22).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
