PURPOSE: To provide a light and highly producible sheet, in which lead and a synthetic resin are not separated during machine work, by providing plural continuous acid resistant synthetic resins, each of whose thickness and width are smaller than those of a sheet respectively, inside a lead or lead sheet.
CONSTITUTION: After a lead plate of 2mm thickness is formed by an extrusion process, an acid resistant synthetic resin 1 consisting of an epoxy resin, for example, and lead or lead alloy 2 are provided in the lead plate. The lead-0.08% calcium alloy is assigned to the lead alloy, and the sheet is set to 0.8mm thickness and 90 mm width while the resin 1 is set to approximately 0.2mm thickness and approximately 0.3mm width. The resin 1 is continued to the length direction of the sheet, in which an area A containing no resin 1 and an area B containing the resin 1 are arranged, and the total cross section area of the resin in the area B is 10-50% of the whole area of the area B. In this way, tensile strength of the sheet is increased by 8-40% of the conventional one while its specific gravity is reduced by 8-40% of the conventional one.
