PURPOSE: To separate lead frames piece by piece safely and positively, by pressing these lead frames stacked on a cradle at two spots at the supper part, inserting a separate cutter into the upper side of the frame at a lowermost stage from both sides, and decreasing the pressing force by degrees, then retrating the cradle therefrom.
CONSTITUTION: A lead frame 1 is piled up two cradles 4-1 and 4-2, forming a stack 1' there. At two spots at the upper part of this stack 1', eccentric cams 9-1 and 9-2 are rotated, pressing this stack 1'. Next, separate cutters 10-1 and 10-2 are inserted into the upper side of the lead frame at a lowermost layer in an arrow c1 direction from both sides at the lower part of a pressing point, and along with the insertion, these eccentric cams 9-1 and 9-2 are rotated, decreasing the pressing force gradually. When these separate cutters 10-1 and 10-2 are reached to the specified position, the insertion is stopped, and these cradles 4-1 and 4-2 are retreated outward, then these cradles 4-1 and 4-2 are restored to their original positions after the lead frame in the lowermost layer is dropped down to a chute 11. With this constitution, lead frames are separated piece by piece safely and positively.
