PURPOSE: To prevent formation of defects at the time of terminal process and sending out process by installing a means to apply tension to a part in the length direction, which is going to become both end parts, before cutting in an electric cable supplying part and to move the cable in the tension applied direction and to send the cable to a terminal processing part.

CONSTITUTION: An electric cable tensing means is comprised of a tension wheel 37, a sending out roller 41, and driving systems for them. After a prescribed length of an electric cable 31 is sent, it is once stopped and clamped by clamping parts 42, 46, and then, while the sending out roller 41 is stopped, a motor 38 rotates and the electric cable is sent so as to form a slightly sagging part. Except the sagging part, tension is applied to almost the whole length of the electric cable including a part going to be cut and the cable is sent out through the sending out roller 41. As a result, curly peculiar of the cut ends of the cable does not appear, or even if appears, it is very slight during the terminal processing involving cutting the cable, removing the coating of the both cut end parts, and press-bonding terminals to both cut ends. In this way, press-bonding defect and running trouble during the sending process of the terminal press-bonded cable 31 are prevented.
