Title:
LEAD SHEET-SANDWICHED LAMINATE AND CHEMICAL FIBER NET WRAP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2019035727
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To solve one of problems to reduce unit weight while making use of features of materials of lead, iron, concrete and the like as a radiation shield being extremely heavy materials, respectively, and also provide a construction method that facilitates construction even in a narrow space in atomic energy facilities.SOLUTION: Multiple thin lead sheets are stacked to reduce weight, and materials obtained by mixing cement with a synthetic bond are used for the adhesion of the lead sheets. However, the synthetic bond flows out in this situation, and therefore glass fibers and carbon fibers are laid on the lead sheets to stop the flowing-out of the synthetic bond. In facilities, all multilayer ceramic plates are wrapped up by chemical fiber nets in order to be attached to the outside of cast-iron pipes, etc. This is solved by connecting the nets by thread without the need for installing fittings to the cast-iron pipes. This laminate system enables the number of sheets of the lead sheets to be increased or decreased in accordance with radiation dose flowing through the pipes, and additional construction can simply be performed after being installed once.
